In 2005 the Government was considering introducing legislation to have powers to close down places of worship where extremism was preached or practices. BSCF was concerned about the vague and broad meaning attached to the word extremism which could also include references to past acts of sacrifices and martyrdom.
It successfully opposed the ban. The submission given explained the concerns and position of BSCF.
